Yeah I have not either... this is the rooster my brother found in the riverbed. The history and parentage of this rooster are a mystery.

Don't know mine came from regular dark grey and buttermilk I have no wheaten grey hens]no. 1 grey stag from last yrs. hatch

I see enough variation in your examples to wonder if you don't have several diff colors there. I don't know, I'm still unfamiliar with gamefowl colors to call em anything, but red or grey...LOL! But I too think Wheaton seeing all these light buff colored birds.
