The pics may not show good the wheaten is like a brown and tan and the buttermilk is like a reddish tan and lighter tan

There's gonna be different shades of a lot of fowl. Take hatch for instance I have lemon hackle and the dark mahogany hackle rubles. They're still ruble hatch just different shades.

Poor batam hen... That is half bantam rooster from the farm down the road. His mother was one of my hens. It will be interesting to see what the offspring to the hamburg hen will look like.

Whitehackles were used in the makeup of many of the different game strains we refer to today. Good ones are nice ones to have around.

Yes that is what is commonly referred to as "buttermilk". She was quite the pet, my son called her "Henny" and she was as friendly as could be.. almost too friendly to be able to get the feeding done around here...
