Show Off Your Games!

All of these games are just so pretty. I have one little rooster that we took in. I call him my little man, the kids call him patches but little man sticks for me. He has a sad story but we found him hurt, and scared, brought him in, healed him up and he was as happy as could be. We even put him in with our little tiny GLW hen that was getting healed up after a crazy lady tried to skin her alive. He loves her right to pieces and she loves him. He wouldn't even breed with her, he would give her food as well from his beak. One morning hubby let the chickens out of the big coop, and my big Delaware rooster fought with little man through the fence, My Delaware is going tomorrow, he fights with all of my roosters and even a few hens. But little man hurt his leg. I thought for sure it was broken but it wasn't its just a bad sprain. But today for the first time in a week he was hopping with his foot up. He knows when I am around and has been popping his head up and crowing for me when I ask if he is ok. But here are the photos we took of him. He still was laying down yesterday when we took them. He is the love of my life, and I am praying for him daily.

I found your bird story on American Game thread...

I too started with a beautiful Leiper hatch cock, green leg hatch hen and some grey hens ... the original cock passed away a good while ago, but his offpsring with those hens always turned out amazing... I have one good cock left from that line... I named him Fabio and he took over the flock after "de-throning" his father.

He is mixed but mostly Leiper hatch.

a pair of Leiper pullets
nice leiper's looks to me that they have some rat grave leiper blood in them. mine do to but just a little. got my rat blood from pinion hatch farm. also what is that stag on the ground in last pic sweeter, or some sort of hatch?

We still haven't figured out what type that he is. But he is just the most wonderful little man in the world. He has made it through a lot in the past month of his life and yet he is still going and going. He is getting a new cage today and him and Brownie will be where there is more green grass. I am sure that will make him happy over the next couple of weeks, until when he can get out and walk better. He must be feeling better though, because yesterdays egg from Brownie was fertile, so he must be doing his breeding when I am not watching or not here. Bad leg and all.
