Do any of you raise/ breed Yokohamas or Pheonix? I have a few questions about them. I think I want them one of them to be my 4th breed but I have some concerns with breeding and keeping them. Please PM me if you do! Especially either or both of those breeds.

There is a thread on long tails, go and check that out. You may find some answers in that thread.

Didnt think it was possible, but here it is; dog, cat, crow and grey rooster all hanging out yesterday evening. Rooster looks pretty tattered right now. Started motling pretty early and the wind doesnt help.

I am surprised the rooster does not chase crow off. Mine would be racing dogs to chase crow.

Are you sure that is a crow? What do your ravens look like?
Ravens are rare in my area, I have only seen them at the garbage dump. They are a lot bigger and have V shaped tails.

I raised this crow from a fledgling and is now part of the family. Dog and crow grew up together and are best friends. Just got the kittens a month ago and they are all friends now. Rooster doesnt bother the crow, fairly indifferent towards him. All the hens hate the crow tho.

I raised American Crows as a kid. Yours I assume is in adult plumage so at least one year old and past the charcoal color. To my eyes he looks purple while those here are blue. We have Fish Crows here too and they are colored a little different once you get past the idea they are all black.

Thats really cool. its quite the experience having him, he is very curious and very destructive but such a lover. He is just past a year old, and has adult feathering. I would say slightly purple sheen to him, but its very subtle. Blue tinted crows would be cool to see (never been back East except Lousiana once). I have heard of/read about fish crows, but they are far from me.

You likely seen them in Louisiana. They are slightly smaller, fly differently and have a different voice than American Crows.

Yesterday I was having a little trouble with crows going after chicks to penned hens. To stop that, hens had to be released and now I have to deal with hens fighting and harming chicks themselves.
