Show Off Your Games!

Nope you can't do that with AKC registered and sell them as show quality and breeding quality. Believe me I bred enough AKC registered dogs to know what ther rules are. UKC is the same, same thing with the ABCA.
haha whatever you say! You can't start a bloodline without linebreeding um how many bloodlines are there? Registered ukc adba akc? 1000's woman!

The AKC is not a legitimate breed registry. They have ruined almost every single breed they have ever gotten their hooks into. Following their nonsensical ideas would be a good way to ruin poultry as well. Not linebreeding is a good way to not have breeds, or at least not breeds that resemble their ancestors in any way. There are places for outcrosses, a skilled breeder will know what to watch for. If you don't linebreed, you just have a bunch of random stuff.

thank you!

Well looks like I have a few modern x malay eggs fertile her first six were not and now they are so I'm sure they are sired by my modern as its only the pair together with my modern hen brooding and out of the picture for the moment plus I have some fertile eggs from my mc lean hatch hen under my JF x those should be interesting my berchin modern x gold sebright chicks are starting to look very wild too

I don't line breed any of my chickens. I see no point in it. When I have as many roosters as we do. why line breed.

Linebreeding is used to preserve a particular genetic type and should be reserved for animals that are exceptional which are to be bred back to. By itself you do not develop a new line. Developing line requires a combination of outbreeding and inbreeding to get the proper alleles lined up in your breeders. Then the linebreeding is employed to keep that desired allele allignment. Linebreeding is much easier to do than outbreeding and inbreeding when the goal of the latter is to develop a quality line. Most people striving to be breeders never get beyond linebreeding. An even greater number jump into outbreeding and inbreeding strategies and simply create a mess. In the end you need to be able to know / figure out which individuals are good breeders and that usually requires test matings, time, and a lot of culling.

No not hobby at all. Sorry but with all the blue ribbons we have and all the chicks we sell yearly it is not a hobby.
