I was gonna ask also. The parents are all crested but they don't have big ones, is it possible for the chicks I have to grow up and end up with bigger crests?
Genetic variation would allow for that possibility. If you want to continue to increase crest size, selectively breed offspring that have the largest crest relative to other sibilings.

Ok thanks jshubin! What about for blue legs, since the cock had white can I also selectively breed for only blue and would it be possible to get them to not throw white in the future?

Do they as for npip paperwork

Most states I believe have laws that that any chickens, chicks and or eggs are supposed to come with proof of NPIP that are being brought into the state. Nothing is enforced. Same as any other state or government agency or program (waste of money) not only that but you have to dig to find these laws.
In my particular state couldn't find anything about birds leaving the state it would be the state receiving the birds where an issue can come up.

Potentially but you probably don't want to inbreed. Assuming the chicks you got are brother and sister. You may want find some other chicks that have blue legs or have the crest and cross breed them with what you have

If I was you I would buy a hen or cock with blue legs and breed into them. If you were closer I have a hen with blue legs that I'd sell for $10. Also good news, I got rid of my Muscovy's

. @sdm111 do you put electrolytes in all waters or just chicks ? On another note, anybody worm today ? I wormed my chicks and all pairs/trios.

Yeah they may be brother and sister, she only has one rooster and two hens. Okay thanks for all the input guys :)
Ringed teal I don't know what they'd say about me buying another rooster lol My gf even gets upset at me about bringing in hens.

Try having a mom fuss at you about you bringing in birds. Or when you spend $30 on a pair of young birds.
