Well be hosting as well. I checked I have no wild type left. The last one went to be bred to a Redquill. I remember the last real snow I was in was in Kentucky I was driving and it was mesmerizing to me I had problems paying attention to the road It was at night too, real neat looking big flakes the size if sicker dollars. Down here we get more of a small pea sized the few times it has.

Snow makes for big fun some years. Sometimes it gets to be 2 feet deep not including drifts. Gets expensive to feed then when temps get really low and the wild birds still a fair intended for chickens. My remaining free-range birds fly good pieces to avoid walking on snow.

One time when I was up there my sister asked me to go to the store with her so I did and it seemed awfully reminiscent of the shopping before a hurricane so this southern boy asked what was up she said a storm was coming through. Ok so big deal. Unbenounced (sp) to me that storm was an ice storm that had the potential to keep us stuck inside for a week. The next morning I went outside and it was like being in a kelidescope with the layers of ice on everything rather cold though and that day I learned what black ice was. Needless to say shortly after I came on home. I'll visit in the summer.

Show the hens that go with him.

unfortunately I don't have any hens that match him. I have hens with correct coloring but have pea combs.

He is currently paired with a golden, a White, a black and a modern hen. He is kind of a Blank seed, his offspring always turn the color of the Hen he is paired with.

Let me correct myself... i forgot One of his daughters has all characteristics of wild type (but kind of big). I will try to get a good photo tomorrow.
