I'd say at 1 year an American Game is very near maturity. He may not be 100% full weight or completely full feathered but he can breed and defend his flock. I never keep birth dates, so thats just a rough estimate. Anyone else have input on this?

Would you consider a stubborn rooster not matter the breed a game ?I think the problem here is the Definition of Game...Because tow Cocks fight don't make them Game...Barn Yard Roosters will fight ....Game is to the death ...If you have more than 1 Cock to gather they are not game... My Boles you can't even put Hens together unless they were raised together
