Interesting colors... Looks like Grey hackle, but black body... Definitely mix of gamefowl breeds. I saw an ad on my local craigslist for Brass Back butcher that looks a lot like him... here is the photo from the ad.. The feather colors are almost opposite of your Little man tho... and you legs arent pink/white... Brassy back

Yeah I'm about to move all the pens out and put a pad of sandy clay down due to it being a low area and I'm tired of the water Ponding and when I put them back they'll be wider both between and rows.

All but during summer I have to have pens on outright hill to keep ground even partially dry. In some areas after heavy rain the darn toads want to come in and spawn.

Where I live it's like living in a rain forest. It can get so discouraging sometimes the rain and water is the reason I got out of games 20yrs ago. I had a 16x20 shed with floor brooders against the walls all the way around. It started raining (training effect) got called to work at the fire dept. at 2 am got home the next night to find all of my 125 or so biddies drowned was so disgusted I sold out. It takes a lot of work to breed to what u want then u lose it all. And that was when the game was legal here in louisiana

We get heavy rains too but what makes them real bad is when you get lots of wind with it. Some hens will try to ride out storm covering chicks in the open. Even five week old chicks can be lost then. I am doing everything I can to make so they have good cover when those deluges hit. My favorite cover is Timothy or bamboo.

That's my problem the deluges hit then it's training effect constant steady rain for a few days after so just when it's drying up it dumps and floods then 2 or 3 days of constant aggravating steady light rain to ruin what I just fixed from the bout before. And the dome pens are wallowed out from scratching so even with a complete cover ( they look like half culverts ) the birds don't get wet but they are standing in 2" of water. Ima build up the whole cockyard up about 4" and set the pens back on top. Then with the breeder quarters I should be ok but well see.
