Show Off Your Games!

Good to hear. What kind of incubator is that? Looks all fancy with digital readout and control center. 14 out of 15 definately and a 15th probable is great. I'm convinced healthy fowl, thoughtful packing, and the most important IMO NOT writing hatching eggs on the box leads to success. I can almost say I have proved that hatching eggs written on the box brings unwanted attention like shaking and rough handling but I will say I heard yesterday for the first time that someone received my eggs and some had detached air cells ( post office rough handling ) so we'll see how those go but not to expect development. We'll see how they turnout and if need be I'll replace those no charge. For the record that's the first report of detached air cells on my eggs so they must have been bowling or something with the box !!!
It's a hovabator genesis with auto turner. Pretty much a plug in and go. For $200 bucks for the whole set up, it's well worth it.

I will be building one of the pens like you have with two modifications. First is to have handles making moving easier. Second is to have a laying box on front of pen where hen can lay and I can get at eggs without getting into pen. A fellow down the road has such with respect to the nest box enabling him to collect several dozen eggs daily without bending over or stressing birds. His down side is not being able to move pens which I think is going to be a major chore relative to what I am used to.
good idea with the handles. I thought the small door would be a problem but so far it's not that bad, then again I'm young enough that the bending over isn't a problem. I will say that I've smashed my head a few more times than I would have liked getting in and out though. I was planning on putting the nest box in the back, your right about stressing the birds. May have to cut in a trap door in the back wall to retrieve eggs without bothering the birds.

Ok got a video of speed. However we didn't get one of him passed out asleep. That little guy can sleep like a log. We even picked him up and moved him and he still kept sleeping. But once wide awake he was tearing across the floor.

I got the tarps, choice was either camo or bright blue. I couldn't find the metal clips so I got the plastic ones and some bungees. Of course I didn't buy enough of either but I was able to cover the two with chicks in them. Yup I'm copying off sdm111 yard, tarps, birds and as soon as I figure out how to build those dome pens I'll be all set. I had to get them covered tonight supposed to be in the 90s this week, sun is brutal in my yard til about 3pm.

What kind of game hen is this, she lays... I got her for free cause it was wondering around our hay field and it ain't te neighbors?

Looks like a Mediteranean class bird derived from Bankovia types games. If correct, then it is a Leghorn which is bred for laying white eggs for the table. When all considered she is not a game.
