Anybody ever have a Muscovy try to kill a chicken before ? Today I found two of my biddies dead and didn't think anything of it until I saw my drake tackle my Spangled Hatch cock and try to kill him. I don't know if he was trying to breed and it went wrong or what. But he was laying on the cocks stomach and biting his head. I don't even know what started it to make it happen just one minute the cock was scratching then he was on his back trying to get a Drake off of him.

I have never owned a Muscovy but I know they can be mean as hell. I have seen other people on forums mentioning that they have had them kill their chickens. I have a few guineas that have out a hurting on a few of my chickens though. Got a peacock that's killed a rooster and few hens. He's lucky cause one more and I told myself he's gone. He must know cause hadn't bothered any of them since.

Good Sunday morning all. Just weedeater the cockyard and threw the clean clippings in the pens. Kinda funny how they now associate the weedeater with treats

MIne get similarly fired up when I move pens. If I can get mower up and running and weather breaks all my pens will get moved about 100 feet to fresh strip of ground they will move slowly over all winter. They will eat most all greens above ground within a few days giving reason to move pens up hill.
