Yeah I had some time with my asil stag and I ain't used to their reach sucker can sure bill like holding a snake. He also feels about twice as heavy as an american of the same size

Lol the worst rooster I've ever had was an Easter egger. He would wail on me all day long. I would let him tire out and pick him up hand feed him. Nothing worked. Finally one day I came home from work and was throwing the birds scratch and this cowboy comes flying out of the bushes right next to my run and just unloads on me from behind. Drove me nuts he would kick the peacock yet run from a silkie and beat on me. He was screwy. He lasted about 20 seconds after that episode.

What does everyone use for feed? Just curious what everyone feeds and if it's different depending on season, molt etc..

I used to mix my own fancy feed: 1/2 part animax, 1/2 part black oil sunflower, 1/2 part whole oats, 1/2part layer, 1/2 part corn in winter and a base if 1part pigeon conditioner but they kept picking so everybody gets protrition layer year round it's smaller pellets than other brands sweet smelling and they absolutely love it

I have a feed store two minute from my house but they are expensive and they sell junk. Even the scratch was real dusty. Pigeon feed is really high here too. Somewhere in the neighborhood of $26 for a 40lb bag.
All the birds are different. I mix pellets and and gamebird feed. Some of the birds just pick through it though. Some don't like the Canadian peas some leave the millet, some won't eat the whole corn. It's annoying. I hate all the waste.

I have a feed mill in my town that makes pellets, game, layer, grower, turkey starter, and chick starter medicated and natural. Feed is freshly made weekly. I'm there twice a week. I use a hoop green house on these cool rainy days for exercise and or chicks
