Oh man ain't nothing like getting in them marsh channels and coming up on a school of reds or specks feeding. Live shrimp under a popping cork u can't get any better. I do more bass fishing just cause if convience but do go out in the marsh from time to time. Prolly been say 8 times mostly in the spring actually I should be there right now they prolly running. They move out when it gets hot.

I was gonna go on s flynfishing trip down there a year or so ago for redfish. Plans fell through though. I can tie flies for em though.

is that house only accessible by boat? I bet the weather can get a bit wild at that place.

Yeah only by boat and I can guarantee u there's no way I'd stay there during hurricane season. Although with no trees around as long as no tornadoes are spun up it would be a cool experience. Wait what am I saying!, no I'm good right where I'm at.

We mostly use john boats here just for convenience, but then again the rivers are mostly over an hour away. And john boats are a lot lighter than the fancy ones. Also we mostly fish ponds and we just bank it on the creeks

It's been a long time but I use to fish out of a 11' kayak style boat in Louisiana we call them pirogues

Last time I been in a peerow was about 20yrs ago alligator hunting. in the marsh with saltwater rods with a steel leader with a popping cork and a treble hook above and below. cast past reel the cork past them and POW IT WAS ON! last alligator we "killed" threw him in the back of a Chevy chevet got about half way home and learned we just knocked him out. So me my friend and a gator thrashing in a chevet. We jump out and my friend opens the hatch and unloads the .22 into the gator with the gas tank just below. What I learned from the experience, always tape the mouth Lol. Yeah good times.

I will trade a buff Orpington hen, and two RIR hens for that boat, motor and dog. My Dobermans won't do too well in the cold water. We have a deal?
