Oliver never shared his breeding method but I know breeders in TX and I think it is a well balanced mix of that Mexican AS blood, Spanish and hennie lines.

the original hen (white kelso) came from walter kelso to frank steele to paul goode to slim benoist...slim breed the hen to a 1/2 johnny moore albany and 1/2 madigin claret cock...the offsprings came out white and was called silver bullets... tight feather and mostly yellow leg

Mr. Slim died in Nov of 2013, his grandson is still breeding and selling them. A year or so before Mr. Slim died he bred some blue blood in them. Mr. Chuck Norris (not the TV actor) was helping Mr. Slim in breeding and caring for the farm, Chuck moved to Alabama a couple years ago and he also has the Silver Bullets. I can get you Chuck or the grandson's contact info if you need.

Been trying to get a new Albany hen since loosing the old lady. I'm Hoping a buddy in TX gets me one of those Moores soon.

Which is why I thought it was just a nick name. There is a breeder in the Carolinas that breeds those AS/SK white kelso, white birds as far as the eye can see. One in Fl also if I'm not mistaken @narragansett1

LOL a lot of guys I know don't care for them except to look pretty. Cuban and American lines alike, but I don't mind a white bird as long as the legs aren't mustard
