thats what gets me how does introducing non game blood going to make a worse attitude, shouldnt that kind of calm them

I think its the opposite.. Adding game blood to layers will make the layers more aggressive. And if you treat these layers like layers, they may end up be way more aggressive than what you expected... They will probably need to be treated like gamefowl, which work best in small pairs/trios or in large free range open areas.

My friend bred one of my game hens to her Americana. The roosters turned out to be aggressive and would fight much like games. Then hens seems fine and she still them, but in a big free range setting. She had to sell/give away all the stags.

so i can seperate the roosters and hens will be ok where ever. i put them. so much like what i got already. the father of these 3 attacked almost everytime i fed him so wont be any differnent than raising game birds. but im not fighting them so its not like im doing anything illegal breeding tdhem

cool. I would be worried about keeping crossed game/layers hens penned together in a small enclosure. Layers do great in small areas with others, not games.

just thought about it. my mother in law had mixes and they werent aggressive at all. only battles were dominance fights and they werent often
