Water trough cut in half would be pricey, but would add some needed weight. Heat can be a real problem here too. Maybe the black could be painted over?

Never know might have gotten for free. Which would be the only reason to use them to me. Be too hot to me. Even painted plastic absorbs too much. And they are prolly thick too which would imo hold heat. But to each their own. But thats if that is what they are they may be something else entirely

definatly oriental breeds thai,ganoi,or shamo. if of small size like American or smaller then aseel would be it altho there are bantam shamos or ko-shamos

are the hens big? whats their weight?

They are small, maybe 4-5 pounds. But I also have 2 Ayam Cemani roosters who are very small and the hens dont like them either. In starting to think those 2 hens are in a "domestic partnership" together lol

All the roosters here are at least 11 months old

Large orienals take a long time to mature. They will fight as chicks then wait till they are much older in my experience before they commit to not allowing other males around

This big boy is 6-7 months old and and still gets beaten by most the chickens just like his dad but once mature game kicks in. He still makes chick sounds sometimes and he is bigger than my standard game.

I think he would good with your white hens. Not as tall as dad , I don’t think but still big
