Show Off Your Games!

One of my old hens will let you handle her even when she is setting and has chicks- The other one will eat your arm off if you even get close!! LOL They definitely have their own individual personality. I'm looking forward to spring so I can see if I can get some hatched. I had one little pullet that I got at the flea market who looked like she might be an Agb and her body type was great and she had such a great personality but a hawk picked her off a couple of weeks ago . I was really disappointed and although I don't want anything to happen to any of my chickens. I would rather it would have taken one fo the old Laying hens or one of these extra roosters running around!!

an asian lady who is good friends with roy jones jr (the boxer) got him for me. i dont think i can talk to him myself, maybe i can get her to ask him someday what type of a.g. he is

Saw the recent activity on this thread and just had to brag about my new babies. These were given to me in trade for several raccoons I captured trying to get into my corn bin. More than a fair trade I thought. I haven't had games in about 20 years and forgot how nifty they are. Can't wiat till spring and I can let them free range in my pastures and collect some eggs for the incubator.
The hens are molting so they look a little rough.

Any info on colors types would be appreciated. These were free range and have been breeding unabated for several years;)

They are just beautiful!! Sorry don't know enough to give you any info but if they have survived as ferals for several years they must be a thrifty bloodline!!

Your picture of the black roundhead is what I've been looking for. How black do the neck feathers get & still keep the red saddle?

Hi all- I have a gamebird question. My neighbor, who doesn't speak a word of english, has a very lovely game bird hen. The lovely thing about her is that she is a beautiful blue color. From top to botom, very uniform. I don't know what breed she is, but she has a red face. Does anyone know what type of game hen she could be. And is the blue color common or rare?
