Show Off Your Games!

The Miner blue that MRN posted is a blue red sport. So if you bred blue reds, you would get blues, BBreds, and sports if i remember correctly. (It's been awhile.) A pyle to BBred-Or wheaten, would give them too much red and the blue wouldn't be anywhere i don't think, but i believe Chris is correct in them being a variation of Pyle.

Miner blues come in a wide variety of colors, as it's in their bloodline. These are just a few colors from a guy on another forum, not my birds -

(And these are only a few, he's posted at least two or more other variations i know of and I've seen more.)

Congrats Mallen my kelsos are laying!!!!

Well i went out to the coop and i found a Egg about a week ago, there was 5 hens in there so i didnt know whos it was. I sepreated them into spereate pens and monday i found two eegs in my Kelso hens nest!!!! yaaay im so happy i have two eggs right now. I cant wait. This is my first year with chickens and im not sure what to expect. Im going to let her hatch her eggs and not put them in a incubator. what should i expect next? how many more may she lay? in how long will she be broody and ready to sit on her eggs? should i keep the eggs until she goes broady or let her take care of them?

You could leave the eggs out there & let them collect to see if she goes broody & sits on them, but if that does not happen within 10 days of the first egg being laid you'll start losing egg viability. Might be a godd idea to have an incubator on standby just in case. I put all of my eggs in my Dickey incubator.

thanks,my dad told me that he would buy him for me if I wanted. I jumped at the chance quick since I dont have that kind of money for a stag right now.
