All photos taken today.

I just discovered her sitting on them last week. I thought she had been taken by a varmint.
She must have been laying them during the sub-freezing stretch we had for about 2 weeks.
At first, she must have just sat on them enough to keep them from freezing but not enough start developing
because 7 out of 8 eggs all hatched at once.

I'm sure that they'll be warm with her at night but I'll put a hot water bottle in the nest box if it gets real cold.
I feed a lot of corn when it's cold and they get fresh rye grass too.

May be hard to get a good pic. All yard hatch and are wild as could be. First time any have been in a pen. Need to dub the stag as well.

Those are cute chicks,I cant wait till I get some.I just got my roo today,my dad works at the post office so when he got to the main post office after getting off plane my dad went and intercepted him so he wouldnt have to get cold in the truck.I bet he hates me for bringing him to Chicago when he was all nice and warm in Florida.Im so happy with him,I cant wait till I get out of class(here as I speak) and go home.I forgot how big they are,Ive been around my bantys too long.

Soto you will enjoy him. The one I bought from Al is doing great I would post pics but he is in the middle of his molt and his tail feathers look horrible.

Yeah. They ran around the yard all day.
It looked like she was gonna bed down out in the open paddock so I just now shooshed them all back into shelter.

You can see where Simon holds her by the back of her neck.
I think she may have hatched 7 hens this time!

Well, not having much luck with the hatching so far, the hen that went to setting before Christmas hatched 0. It went down to 17 degree's on the 19th & 20th nights. Then I put 13 from another hen in the bator, one pipped this morning real early & never made it out. Gonna give the rest a few more days and see what happens. But I've got another dozen from the same hen collected & the weather has been a lot nicer, so maybe I'll get some of them to hatch. Also have a Marion Rose hen about to set she's got 13 in her nest now. I think I'm better off letting the hens do it than even trying with the bator. I'm itching to see what I get from the pairings I've got going.

This is my favorite Rooster.
Almost in full feather now, the last pic didn't do him justice!

Once again, I love to see that so many people are still raising some really nice Game Fowl. Keep the pics coming!
