I'm not sure? Are they Wheaten?

Yeah. They ran around the yard all day.
It looked like she was gonna bed down out in the open paddock so I just now shooshed them all back into shelter.

You can see where Simon holds her by the back of her neck.
I think she may have hatched 7 hens this time!

They are wheatens. Good looking chickens.

Here's my wheatens to compare them to. Your rooster is a darker color & your hens are a lighter wheaten, mine are pure butcher blood.

He should be good in a week. I can't wait to see pics of him. I saw the pics of him in the auction, but he will look alot better with his trim!

Thanks! The man I got him from say's he is Cardinal x Hatch. I think I see a little bit of something else in him though, maybe Asil or Brazilian bred down to 1/8 or so. The big problem with him is his size. He weighs about 7lb 8 oz. And I try to feed him light & keep him active. He's tooooo big! But thats why I chose the two hens I'm breeding him too, they are a little small. The hens are Roundhead over shorty bullock grey. Hopefully they'll shrink his size & keep the strength and look.

Yea is does,He looks waaaay better then the auction pic.He is better bulit and looks fuller. My dad said they when we dubbed him we shouldnt go all the way down and leave a LITTLE nub since we live in a verrrrry populated area and they do go in the backyard. So just incase they try to say we fight them.Cockers cut all off as close to the head as they can so the other roo cant grab it. So just like a just incase reason but he look real nice.He sings real loud, hope the new neighbors next door dont mind, all the others dont.

Leaving the nub in the front is pretty standard for Spanish Gamefowl. If you notice the trim job I did w/ the bantam I tried leaving the small nub in the front as well just for a different look on the bird. When I dubb my fowl they look like different birds (way more representable) I had Al dubb my roo before he shipped him and I have to say he did a neat job. I may wind up buying some pullets from him this year
