Congratz!!!!!!! on the 4 eggs. My sweater hen is on her 5th egg she has been laying daily this year. The yr. prior it was every other day. I say another 6 more days before she starts getting broody

I got them from a breeder I have about 2hrs from my house out here in modest California​

Hey Jonathan well congrats on ure hen!!! She's laying pretty good mine is laying about 2 a week haha but it's reall cold here... Any reason why she's laying so little

Got a butcher hen that laid last sunday and one today....Dont worry there egg laying will slowly increase but wouldnt hurt to leave out some layer pellets for them.

Well I keep her in the basement which is warmer than the freezing temps. outdoor and layer pellets are always a plus to mix with the corn. I actually take the Roo away from her when she has laid about 10 eggs. This will encourage the hen to go broody once she is broody she is left alone in the pen with out the other hens till her hatch date.

im going to start giving her pellets. we just got out of a couple of weeks of bad rain and its clearing up so i things withtthe weathe warming up plus pellets she should be alright
 
I'm feeding whole corn with cracked corn and layer pellets. They eat the pellets last.
If you want to give a protein boost, dry kitten food is 35-40% protein.
