Show Off Your Games!

Just throwing him out there. He is a feral chicken I caught sight of in the mid-upper highlands of the island of Kauai, Hawaii when I visted there, High in the mountains you see the pure Moa fowl (Red Jungle Fowl descendents brought by the Polynesians more than a thousand years ago). As you go down the mountains to the lowlands, there are mongrel mixes -- they survive, on their own as wild fowl. This one I suspect is part/ probably mix Red Jungle Fowl.

I have seen birds in same locations a few years back. I watched them at length. At that time I could see evidence of domestic (production and game) mixed into almost every family group. Even the original stocks brough by Polynesians differed markedly from red jungle fowl. I think the game blood actually promoted the existing red jungle fowl look. All feral chickens I saw were considerably larger than typical wild red jungle fowl.

We accidently got started with them, they are beautiful birds! Would love to show pictures of ours but can't figure out how
