I don't know much about Games, other than the roosters fight to the death and the hens are fierce mothers. I was wondering if I could mix a couple Game hens (with the sole purpose of hatching/raising chicks) into my flock of a Buff Orp rooster, a few RIR hens, a few BR hens, and a few Buff Orp hens. Or are the OEG hens just too aggressive, and will harass the daylights out of my current flock? Will the Buff Orp rooster be able to breed them? And do you think Buff Orp x OEG roosters could be kept together until butchering at six months? Thanks for any info!

Wanted to add that the chickens would free range over several acres of pasture, so the more docile hens should be able to stay away from the OEG hens, unless the OEG hens are excessively aggressive. If I could have hens hatch and raise chicks with zero human interference...

But, if OEGs are just too aggressive to fit into my flock, then so be it...

LOL... I don't know yet. Cackle Hatchery sells them, but they charge an arm and a leg for straight run. If I'm gonna spend the money I'd like to get them from a breeder. I don't know of any Missouri breeders, but I haven't really researched yet either. I'll let you know if I find anyone, and if you could do me the same, that'd be great.

*Off to go check the breeder directory on BYC *
