Show Off Your Games!

So is something like Shamo introduced? I know that's what was used for my Cubalaya.

Your birds are amazing. I'm just trying to soak up some knowledge.

yes I used some black shamos.
From that fusion I selected the best following my instincts and knowledge.

My neighbor just gave me one of his stags. I fell in love with him when I saw him in the front yard tethered. He raises a lot of Games. This guy is mixed with Sumatra and has 2 spurs coming in on each leg, but the Game gave him some beautiful coloring. That and the axtra long tail. I have a pullet that is actually mixed with a dual purpose, but looks very Gamey with some leg feathering. I want to breed out the feathering and breed her to this new bird. My neighbor loves her coloring and he had a yard full of people who except for the skimpy shank feathers, really liked her. He also has Shamos down there, but I've only seen one. He says he keeps them hidden so they aren't stolen. Spring time I get some pure white Shamp eggs. Also giving him some of my chicks from the mix of my bird and the one he gave me.

This guy can get his birds to lay down, stand up, go to sleep and pose for pictures. I told him to come and do some chicken whispering at my place. LOL

Thanks gallo,
I really like him. He's only 5 and a half months old, can't wait till he fully matures. The only hens/pullets
I got are his sisters so I'm on the look out for a good leiper broodcock. I have another unrelated leiper stag 3 months old, if he matures fast enough before breeding season I'll put him with the girls. That is if I don't find another roo.

gamelife,
Father is of my families line which does have some inputs from other lines (i.e. Hatch, Doc Kniefords). Last outside influence was back in lates 1970's. Prior to that very little based on what grandfather indicated. Obviously had to be based on other stuff somewhere but I do not know such information.

His father last year at same developmental stage.

Do not get too hung up on odd posture. They are standing on a slippery surface and trying not to slide off tub.
