@LadyHawkeavry - do you think I should get antibiotic from the feed store? They have injectable pennilin and the other that starts with a 'd' I forget what it's I planned on getting elecryolites...baby bird food also? Once I've located any rehabbers I'm assuming I would tell them my situation, and their advice? Or is there a specific medicine you had in mind? (Sp)

Poly vi sol has niacin and thiamine, two vitamins that ducklings often need extra.

So if one were giving Poly VI Sol is there a need to add it to the water, too?

There are only 2 available to me. Docxycicline and penicillin. After reading about both I decided penicillin is princes bad choice.

So, I do not need to add niacin to his water?

I may be able to under "allied health professional" with my MD - or under my NYS DEC license, since they include rehabbers, etc.. I'm licensed for game birds, and am nearly done with the requirements for falconry (just have to get the mews up). I will try it after I finish downloading the avian medicine references. My daughter works on an egg farm, so she will likely snag the book as well...
So much wonderful stuff..... I have died and gone to heaven... And I can't thank you enough! I didn't think to look for these texts in downloadable versions (my daughter does all the time, so you would think I would know better by now...)
