One of the nurses at my doc's office empathizes, she had endometriosis as well, and she did manage to get a hysterectomy....when she was in her early 50's. Ahh that's a shame! I bet you convince one.... My aunt had a hysterectomy just because she wanted to make sure she did not get any genital cancers. She also had her breasts removed. I think that if she did that just to be safe and you actually have a condition they should have to do a hysterectomy.
My step-sister & my sons' ex-step-mother both had hysterectomies due to endometriosis. My sister was 30 with 1 child, almost 8 yrs old. The exes ex was mid 20's and had it right after baby #2, with the babies being barely a year apart. Not sure if the difference would be age or the fact that they had each already had at least 1 child, but the doctors didn't hesitate when either of them requested the hysterectomies. What state do you live in? Maybe that is a difference too. They are both in Ohio.

I'm in the process of doing just that, actually. Then the airlines will HAVE to let him travel with me, hehe! Peabody duck hotel, here we come
I am surprised they were not more respectful of your decision not to have children. It's not for a doctor to decide whether or not you want to have kids, and is really overstepping their bounds in this day and age. I went for elective sterilization when I was 21. I had been diagnosed with lupus at 20 after the birth of my daughter, but the age that most doctors would even entertain doing the procedure was 24 at that time. My OB/GYN was fine with it, and did the surgery without batting an eye. Nowadays, it is completely inappropriate for any doctor to tell you what to do based on their own ideals. Fibroids are miserable to have, and I have had friends who have nearly bled out from them. Will they consider a myomectomy instead? It is the more common procedure in younger women and leaves the uterus intact. They remove just the fibroids, which are nicely encapsulated anyway, which gets rid of the horrible pressure and pain. I am so sorry that you were treated that way by an OB/GYN. You should not have to keep suffering because anyone other than you and your husband wants you to have children.

Narcissus decides that he wants to be where the Pekins are...
that video rocks. I love all your webbed birds. It's funny that they all take off when he saunters over. I am somewhat sensing a cocky assurance in his demeanor. He is the stud and knows it. But he is cute too.
