My step-sister & my sons' ex-step-mother both had hysterectomies due to endometriosis. My sister was 30 with 1 child, almost 8 yrs old. The exes ex was mid 20's and had it right after baby #2, with the babies being barely a year apart. Not sure if the difference would be age or the fact that they had each already had at least 1 child, but the doctors didn't hesitate when either of them requested the hysterectomies. What state do you live in? Maybe that is a difference too. They are both in Ohio.Quote:

One of the nurses at my doc's office empathizes, she had endometriosis as well, and she did manage to get a hysterectomy....when she was in her early 50's. Ahh that's a shame! I bet you convince one.... My aunt had a hysterectomy just because she wanted to make sure she did not get any genital cancers. She also had her breasts removed. I think that if she did that just to be safe and you actually have a condition they should have to do a hysterectomy.
