Yeah, I think it really depends a lot on the particular animal--dog, duck, cat, whatever. One of my little 2015 drakes is very assertive. Not a bully or anything like that, but he doesn't tolerate any pushing around. The first time he was in a spot where his group and the adults could make contact, one of the adult drakes approached him, and I could tell that drake was about to make trouble even though I can't say how I knew it. The little drake knew it too, because he looked up from his foraging, stared at the adult for a few seconds like, "I KNOW you are not about to start with me!" put his head down and started running at the adult. That settled that very quickly, and with no injuries other than probably a very bruised ego for the adult.
Ho boy...sounds like a miniature Wobbles to me.
