Then this is my welsummer hen from another flock called wellie, she is 2 but boss, when I say boss I mean it, when I let them out at the same time as the other flocks she is royalty. She is boss of every single one of them, they try anything on and they get there bottoms handed to them. It amazing how dominant she is, none of my Roos touch her. I have a silkie x roo who is quiete large and aggressive, but not boss of my friesian and he screams if wellie runs at him :)

And finally peckers, she is dead now but she was boss even of wellie. She had that presence of keeping things together, she wasn't aggressive but was respected, she was calm and kind but if a younger hen tried it on she was put back in her place, she was 6 ish when she died, but she was an rescued battery hen, she was really friendly too people. She was closely followed by posh who was second in command. Posh was exactly the same temperament and was a rescue with peckers, but posh was bit more aggressive

I have two Speckled Sussex hens that are fairly tied for the head hen spot most of the time. Their names are Herby and Crazy. I think if I were to name just one Head Honcho it would be Crazy...she can be pushiest at times.

I t looks like Crazy is the farthest one...so hard to tell in photos but she has slightly less white on her head and is bigger boned

Now if you ask who is the low woman on the totem pole it is most certainly my Buff Orpington named Tiny shown here.
