We did. It was horrible. Luckily he didn't take them all. But he did take like 4 or 5 of them and left no trace just a few feathers. now we try and really secure it and lock them in at night.

I had a dog attack. They killed my mother hen as she tried to protect her chicks and injured my polish but she survived and is still with me.

I've had my dog kill one chick last year, and thoroughly learned her lesson. We had 2 dogs attack the flock and somehow didn't kill any of the chickens. Then a fox came and got my cockerel. Our life shall go on.

Aw! I have a lead hen that has not one lost feather, she's a good layer and is SO sweet! Only to me though
