Jeez! What's with the awesome chickens! And I have a big problem, I've had a chicken for a while and I tamed her and love her so but her skin is a little gray now and she's losing her feathers and isn't acting right. What should I do for her????
Thank you SO much for your help! I love her so much and I would cry for days if she died!I think she's just moulting, I had a house chicken that started her moult and became a bit wild and not very friendly but once she finished she was fine again. She will be back to her normal self in no time, nothing to be worried about. My chickens are all quite tame just it's really windy here so they are all flying, and my Phoenix above fly any way because they can fly properly, like a pheasant, and they don't like walking on concrete so fly across it
But I always give them that and they grow their feathers back and everything, and racing pigeon food sounds like a great thing to feed them! Thank you!You can buy high energy feeds I small bags that are great for moult, racing pigeon food is great for feather growth, I feed it to my Phoenix, I wouldn't recommend cat food, it can be very harmful to chickens because of it being designed for cats so things in it are harmful like the acids etc they put in.
