I can't remember, but do you raise bbreds?

No BBR here, but as of today, I'm raising these...

Picked up 2 cocks and 3 hens.

Very pretty! He's got some long sharp spurs! Do you remove spurs?

If they are aggressive, absolutely. Catch one near your nail or in the palm and it will make you cry. Otherwise I leave them unless the bird has trouble with its gait, is obviously uncomfortable, or there's a fertility issue. I really like the look of a natural spur.

This guy is super gentle, and the girls are sweethearts.

For those who have never removed spurs from a rooster, just grab them with pliers and twist. They pop right off. Don't do it during breeding season, because it makes them sore until they re-harden.

They are very nice!

Thanks. They are really pretty in person. I bought them because my 70 year old mother wanted a pair. Couldn't find a pair, but found a quad and the guy gave me an extra rooster he had on the place that I liked.

If you are looking for birds, I think he ships, and has some really nice OEGB. Best of all, he lives in the same city I do, and I never knew it. He had a blue brassy rooster that I was very envious of, and I thought mine were nice.

I just recently did this, that's why I asked when I saw his spurs. I was amazed how simple it was! By the way, I'd love to see some recent pics of some of your blue brassys now. :)

My adults are all molting and are not very pretty right now. The youngsters are coming along, although most will be sold, especially the roosters.

Here's a pic of one of the sport roos I hatched along with a lemon blue sport.

Like I said, I thought my blue brassys were nice, but the guy I bought the Creles from has one that is absolutely stunning.
