Show off your Old English Game Bantams!!

She looks like a lighter colored brassyback to me, if her legs are as blue as they look in the pictures. She carries herself really well, good type. Wish she was here, because I have the perfect rooster for her. ;)

Should I get Buff,Blue,Or Black? I'm Getting Some Today. What Sells Better??

If you get good birds, you can sell them no matter what color they are. If I didn't have a color I was partial too, I would buy the ones with the best type/form. Birds that carry themselves really well. Don't buy birds with obvious defects or traits that would disqualify them in a show.

Blacks should have a beetle green sheen to them. Don't buy birds that are dull or have a purple sheen. Legs and toes should be black. Look at the bottom of their feet. They should be black, dark gray. No washed out light spots. Combs and wattles should be bright red, eyes dark. Earlobes should be red, no white.

I raise blue brassys and lemon blues. I don't have any solid blue birds. Blue coloration is one of the hardest to keep the right color in, so if your going to buy blues, start off with the best you can find. A blue x blue mating will produce some of the best black you will see, but the shanks, feet and toes will wash out on some birds. I keep these birds to breed back, and help keep the blue color where I want it.

Buffs, you're on your on. I don't keep any reddish birds. If I did, I would keep BBR's. People call me looking for them all the time.
