Show off your Old English Game Bantams!!

What do yall think of Darryl? So far, he has been my only roo, (I got rid of his identical twin a few months ago) but now I have his son, with several more eggs under 2 broodies, due next weekend, and some I just gave last week. I would like to keep him, and maybe one of his sons, but would like opinions on him.

@jophus. We have a blue brassy but he's a Silkie. :). We hatched him in February from eggs we bought. He's a handsome guy but his brassy leakage is going to make it hard for me to keep him.

That's cool. I've never seen a silkie like that. I got a lot of variation in my blue brassy roos this year, including one that looks like the old "furnace" brassy, where the brass is a deep orange-red, looks like embers in a fire.

I'm fond of Darryl, especially after watching his hen drama video!

He's got bronze highlights on his hackle and primary tips. I think he's pretty but the SOP says otherwise..:/
You got a pic of the furnace brassy? I bet he's pretty!

He's proving to be a good little flock master.

Two of my silkie/cochin crosses had some brassy coming in. I loved it. But I sold them. Hope I can get some updated pics from those folks.

My Silkie cockerel is gorgeous but unless I just want to breed a line of blue brassy Silkies it won't benefit me to keep him.

I keep a lot of birds there's no benefit in keeping. I kept a little scissor-beaked Sebright pullet until she died, just because she was so sweet. Almost culled her as a chick because I didn't think she could eat well enough to survive. She lived 3 years. What do I know?

Ordered 10 splash OE from cackle.... They BAKED them on the way to the post office!! These babies were in a box that my three year old's flip flops couldn't fit in with a (huge) heating pad taped to the side and bottom inside another box with my layers in 100 degree weather. They were ALL dead. Even the extra one they sent. Then told me I would have to BUY five more for them to reship them... I did get my money refunded, but I wanted the birds. My baby girl has been traumatized and never wants me to order chickens again. I will never use cackle again.

:(. So sorry for the chicks and you.
