My little girl Dasy had a traumatic experience with this rain and muck today. Fortunately I just happened to be outside tending to chickens and saw it happen. Two of my bantums Cochins pounced on her at the same time and with this rain on the run I am sinking 3 to 5 inches onto mud and muck. When the roos pounced on her they had pushed her down into the muck and she couldn't get out. Because she couldn't move the roos wouldn't get off of her so I ran o to the run got the roos off her and brought her inside. She was so muddy I had to give her a bath and blew her dry then kept her inside for awhile to make sure she was ok.

Poor girl. I'm glad you were there to save her :(

I was fiddling with my camera today and yesterday so here are some pics :) A few of them are either dutch or OEGBs with a defect. All but the Mille Fleur and BBR hens are from Ideal Poultry so either of those scenarios is possible.

Your babies are so cute, what a healthy and sharp looking lot, defects or not. :love

I have such an assortment of colors, that's for sure. I had even more but sold a bunch a few weeks ago even thought they were uncommon (splash tail buff, silver blue, etc) just because I was running out of room (yet I ordered more chicks lol) I have a lot more of non-OEGB types, as well. I was taking the pics because I am thinking of making a thread with pics of my whole flock :)

I think I have decided that OEGBs will just be pets and eye candy and for a project I will work on a new line of chamois Sebrights and maybe at some point a new color of Brahma bantams. I thought about adding Seramas to my flock but the way the SOP ones stand creeps me out.

Here are a couple pics of my bantam EEs that I took for you to compare to your one chick. I don't know what color they will be. The parents looked to have blue and splash duckwing and quail patterns.
