I forgot about this thread. A few months ago I found 3 oegb hens.

And Rose, I guess I missed getting her photo the other day. This is when they were in quarantine.

Two month old Lemon Blue cockerels. The one on the left (as you can see) is almost black! He's also quite small. But I like his configuration better than on the lighter blue one.

I'd ordered five Mille-Fleurs, but they didn't have them available for my pick-up date. Tried to substitute for Porcelain, but those also didn't hatch as many as needed for this date. So, I got five Lemon Blue (well, one was a Splash, as can happen with these pairings, one of the reasons I dislike breeding blues). Out of the five chicks, THREE were cockerels! And of course, the Splash is a pullet. Would have been nice if that one was male, I wouldn't have minded selling it.

These two are separated from the other cockerel and the two pullets due to them picking on the third.

I also got five Red Pyle, and really lucked out with only one cockerel and four pullets! I'll try to get pics of them later as I do some cage shuffling.
They look awesome, I'm jealous.
I'm trying to to find a good quality lemon blues to breed to this one hen I have. I think she's pretty good quality, but I don't have a male.

So pretty!
You have a fun mixed flock. I bet you get a lot of really unique babies. :D

If you weren't so far (and in a different country!) I would certainly let you have one of the extras!

I know they are stashing eggs, but I haven't had any go broody yet.
Mine are great moms. And foster moms. I have a Silver Duckwing hen that has pretty much taken over the raising of the two chicks in her tiny flock. I'd given some eggs to the other hen and by the last few days of incubation, she was sitting them too. And is treating the chicks as her own. So they have two moms and a dad, all unrelated to them, lol!
