Aren't they precious? Looks like you got an EE too. ..maybe a couple. :)

I have 8 RSL pullets (well they are supposed to be anyway). They are now 4 weeks old. How can I tell if they are roosters are not? I have one or two that seem to have bigger combs than the others and a little brighter in color on the comb. Are there any other obvious differences?
If they are RSLs, then the hens will be a golden/brown color while the cocks will be a light yellow.

EE? I was told they were speckled Sussex. maybe TSC had their label wrong? lol

Someone asked what EE's were..and yep, my guess is, that where you saw the labels..were wrong. So many feed stores get things wrong when it comes to the name of the breed. If you were to just use the EE initials..Easter Egger. If you were to use the initials for the Speckled Sussex...SS. :D

Red Sex Links on this thread...RSL...some just go...rsl I really like mine. They are great layers. Can expect an egg almost every day. Little die hards as I call them.

Hey X....nice looking chicks. Get ready for some eggs!!

I got some red sex links I'll give the pictures of the red ones.

What would the red ones with the black wings be. I don't think they would be red sex link. They were red when they came out of the egg though.

I ask because some of my other reds have white wings.

Can you substitute a brown leghorn roo with a rhode island red roo when making red sex link?

I think he is a brown leghorn :)

My favorite :)

Oh, no, they look a lot alike as babies..so you got Speckled Sussex..that looks right too. Hard to tell those babies apart, but if you were after the Sussex, I'm sure you got some. :D
