He did. Had a Coopers Hawk come down on one of my 10wk Sp Sussex pullets. The Delaware roo ran right up to it with hackles flared and that. Little girl has a bit of a limp now but still with us. Can't say the same for the hawk

Wow I'm sure you miss him, but he is a hero, that could have been wha one of my boys did, however he was a a rye neck brig and was a bit on the slow side
 
One of my youngest English BBS Orpingtons appears to very clearly be declaring his cockerelness. One of the most advanced combs (more than all but one of the 6 week olds, that is clearly also male), massive legs, and attitude to spare, LOL!
