Show off your roosters

Mine is still young (26wks), so I do watch him for signs of aggression, but so far *knock wood* he is a good boy. He moves away from me and I can handle the girls no problem. I did choose a BO because I was hoping for a "docile, sweet boy" so far I have been pleased. Even though mine are contained in a large run (no free range -lots of hawks and free roaming dogs to say the least) he stays on alert, tries to be attentive to the girls and seems to be well rounded. Of course, time will tell.:)

I had a trio of Mottled Japanese years ago and I loved them! We have a trio of white Silkies now. Im trying to win my wife over with "fru-fru" chickens

. Speaking of BO, one of the sweetest Roos I've had was a huge BO. And...my first egg of the year just came today from a very old BO hen. I think she nine years old this spring.

Awww, Silkies are cute. I hear they are gentle. I have 2BO girls too, they are sweeties.
