No. I won't tolerate an aggressive rooster. I'm afraid if mine turned human aggressive he would have to go to freezer camp. I would really hate to do it, but I will not go through life watching my back.
They can cause quite a bit of damage with their spurs and feet and small children can be vulnerable to getting flogged in the face. You may want to start a thread asking if anyone has suggestions on dealing with an aggressive rooster (though most likely the majority will say to do away with him). You could post your question on this part of the forums https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/18/chicken-behaviors-and-egglaying

I made themista

As I was trying to say before my thumb slipped...I made the mistake of keeping a mean rooster a while back. Now I'm having a hard time convincing my wife that all roos aren't aggressive towards humans. It's amazing how intimidating an eight pound bird ( or a one pound bird) can be.

Mine is still young (26wks), so I do watch him for signs of aggression, but so far *knock wood* he is a good boy. He moves away from me and I can handle the girls no problem. I did choose a BO because I was hoping for a "docile, sweet boy" so far I have been pleased. Even though mine are contained in a large run (no free range -lots of hawks and free roaming dogs to say the least) he stays on alert, tries to be attentive to the girls and seems to be well rounded. Of course, time will tell.

@abbevilleoz get your wife one of those little fellas like @AnnikaLF has, I bet she would just love one. (I know I would).

My delaware is a big baby. I have a scar above my right eye that I got from a rooster my dad had when I was little.
