Show off your roosters

I never owned a rooster before, I got this one because of a persistent cooper's hawk. I always thought that they went straight back, but his angle inwards. How do they look to impale a cooper's? He's extremely protective of his hens but backs off of me when I catch one.
The spurs should be pointing towards the other legs (inwards and slightly back). They kick like a roundhouse by rotating their hips/body so that they kick with the inside of their legs.
Eventually the spurs will curve as they get longer. These spurs are not trimmed and a bit too long in my opinion

The way they explode when fighting, I sure wouldn't catch how they spur something. Very interesting that they rotate and kick, with everything they have all their leg and body behind it. Do you just trim and shape the spurs up, when they get less than optimal?
