That makes more sense! Thanks. At first I was disappointed w the barring but it turned out gorgeous. Would like to try to develop some black/mulberry combed, barred chickens. Might be impossible as the barring gene and fibro-Mel genes are codominant and the red goes w the barring.. but I’ll try

I had a BR roo meaner than ever. But somehow this hatchery chick was the most stunning BR Rooster I’ve seen! He probably fit the bill for showing, but his aggression was awful and he ended up on the table.
