here is that beautiful boy that I posted the other day... poor boy.

Sorry it’s a selfie lol, I’ve got a phone full of cock pics, not too many hen pics

That makes more sense! Thanks. At first I was disappointed w the barring but it turned out gorgeous. Would like to try to develop some black/mulberry combed, barred chickens. Might be impossible as the barring gene and fibro-Mel genes are codominant and the red goes w the barring.. but I’ll tryView attachment 2402616
Oh they’re beautiful! Clearly sweeties to! Breeding can be frustrating, you won’t be able to achieve everything, but the birds will still be able to have some features you want, and you can always forge red features to be black with paint :lau

*dont actually paint your chickens

Do you have any pics of him?
Gorgeous birds everyone.
I do not have pictures! I said goodbye to the little boy two years ago (after fighting two hours to catch him! I was armed with a snow shovel) since then I’ve downloaded my pictures onto my laptop to free space, I’d post some if i had them!

He’s gorgeous! Look at hike strike a pose. His feathers are so beautifully colored, but just a little wet . You should Go out and try another picture when he drys up :love
Thank you!
Does he think he's a pig? 😂
his new nickname is prince mud bath! He is like a spoiled prince!

Are you sure he's not a BLRW? I think I see blue in is hackles, and his lacing looks blue.
Thanks. He's a BLRW X Buff Brahma bantam.
I'm honestly not sure. He was sold as a Blue Laced Red, along with his 'brother' but they grew up looking entirely different. Someone on here told me he was gold laced.
Here- Adam and Pumpkin. Both Wyandottes, but the colors are noticeably different.

I've been given mixed answers, saying Adam is either Blue Laced Red, or Splash Laced Red, and I've been told Pumpkin is Gold Laced.
I'd like to know for sure, just to be informed.
Sadly, I lost both due to predators. Adam gave his life defending the flock from a hawk. And Pumpkin later was the victim of a coyote.
The losses were (and still are) painful but I have a new young boy who means the world to me.
