and this is Mr Biggles. He is the whole reason I got into domestic chickens. Someone dropped him off at our pasture when he was a young spud, that was years back. I started to build him a coop so I could get him some girls and bring him home. He like the wild girls at the pasture better, go figure... and got taken by a dog during a rodeo after a year or so (is there a lifes lesson in that somewhere?!! def a country song...) I'm sure he was protecting the flock he loved so much. I had better photos but they are on a thumbdrive. We still feed his descendants every morning and night. He was a perfect rooster.

This is Speedy our almost 23 week old free bonus Bielefelder rooster from Murray McMurray. My son named him that as he was the hardest to catch out of the flock of 17. Lol! He seems like a great rooster so far. He has never been aggressive with my family and I have a 23-month-old daughter. I have witnessed speedy calling the girls over when there is a “treat” for them. I gave yogurt for the first time (tiny baby scoop that my daughter didn’t finish) and Speedy made a sound after trying the yogurt which made some of the girls come running.

A better photo of our current little man Vodka - I can't wait until he matures and shows his true looks - I love that he hasn't been coddle raised like our last pair of Roosters who got too "cocky" and so this Cockeral steers cleer of us and our kids.

Ducky was one of our previous Roosters and he was an absolute love to have. He got passed on as we were moving residential temporarily and being Pure Orpington was sought after.

And my partners pride and joy, Dinky, who was a brilliant pet- BUT he was an a-hole who definitely Did Not Like ME - never had to carry a broom across 5 acres until him. Sadly he has gone as well, but became a stud over some RiR girls

*Editted - I dont know why a goat behind photo attached but I removed it 😂

Love that little dinky rooster you had! He’s so tiny.
