Here is my Silkie X Jersey Giant young rooster. I made this cross because I am working on Fibromelanotic Meatbirds, this is one of the F1s. The little bit of red came from his mother who was not quite pure Jersey Giant.

What's the difference between splash and just plain spotted? Our Blue Silkie roo is starting to look more like black and white spotted, with a little red on the edge of some feathers...

Here are some pics of my new splash silkie chick. My first!!

It is hard to tell in the pics but he is starting to get some specks on the new wing feathers. I am so excited. Very nice splashes you guys. Can't wait to see how mine feathers in.

You guys are teasing me. Splash is my favorot color of chicken, but about the only color I don't have. I haven't been able to find any close to me, I guess I will have to get some eggs in the spring.
