Show prep for Silkies and regular feathered chickens?

I probably know less than you then, all I know is that you need to bathe them beforehand. Never went to a poultry show before, I decided not to join the Poultry 4H. I will be watching to see what others think though.

Keep their feet and combs/battles vasolined (not slimy though). Each their feet with a cloth as close to the show as possible to keep poop off them.

Make sure there are no broken or poopy feathers

Night before. And no, the cloth you get damp and lightly scrub the poop off. We would do it before getting in line for that specific round

I just read something about washing silkies but not washing the regular feathered ones, but what about white birds? I have a Rhode island white I'm bringing and he has a bit of yellow staining in some areas. What soap is the best?
