show quality speckled sussex ??

I thought the same thing originally. Now...my only Largefowl are my Langshans! Bantam favorites are now my Speckled Sussex and my Langshan bantams! There's a lot of bang in a bantam Speckled Sussex! You should try it some time!

Are you offering to help some of us get started?

Any comments on my SS or my analysis of them?

I just had the computer lock up on me....

I was trying to post those chick pictures that I was talking about on the other thread.
I ordered eggs from Walt Reichert this year. I got eggs from him last year and was really please with the SS I kept. I hatched 7 chicks last year, but most were males.
This year, the first batch of eggs were lost by the USPS. The second batch of eggs were so mistreated that several were cracked upon arrival. I crossed my fingers and hatched TWO chicks.

I will be grateful for any chicks I get to hatch because travel is just not an option for me right now.

I just got locked out again!

I will try one more time and then I might have to wait until tomorrow when I am less tired...

So.. I was saying that I have pics of the chicks from Walt that I want to post. The coloring is really nice in person and I am hoping I can catch it in a photo for you to see. The chicks BOTH have the buff faces, without the chipmunk faces that you normally associate with the SS.

The pics were taken while the chicks were stretched out under the red heat lamp. I hope the color of the bulb does not throw off the pics too much.
