Pea Combs? ? ? ? Speckled sussex , any sussex for that matter, should NOT have a pea comb.
Egg size is Medium.

My two youngest are laying!!! These are the Meyers girls. Medium egg, very pale brown, everyday. THey are funny girls: when I collect the eggs they hop up to the roost to visit with me. Personable birds!!!

Going to have to check with Tony Albritton again. I sent an order in to pick up SS chicks at the Spring Fling WA Feather Fanciers Show in March and have not heard anything back from him yet. Since I lost the cockerel I was keeping I am working on other breeding projects. But excited to get new/more SS! All four of my pullets from last April are laying really well!

I have a friend in Clear Spring MD that has a SS roo about 10 months old. He is a very filled out boy with alot of character. He was not bought for sq but when I met him he left a strong good impression. He is looking to find him a home. If not then I am afraid he will have to be culled. I would be happy to get pictures if anyone is interested and is able to pick up. Just IM me. Thanks!

I have spent many days on the web looking for someone who has an improved flock of Speckled Sussex and is willing to part with either chicks or fertile eggs. The hatcheries have them but they are not selectively bred to the standard. There are 146 pages in this thread...has anyone found a good source?
