My chickens do this all the time. Once, I found three of my hens together in the same nest box, with an empty one right next to them.

I had a Barred Rock named Oreo. She was really sweet. When I held her, she would bury her head in my neck.

My barred rock has weird feathers to her, but she’s very sweet also! (Not an entry just showing her off hehe) but she has baby feathers on her back still and she squats as if I’m a rooster.
