Do any of you take showers after getting home from school before going to see your flock? I'm just wondering because yesterday day I read a book on bio-security and I always do this.

Probably only necessary if you are exposed to chickens or chicken keepers during your day.

Hey, there's always night school! I kinda miss going to school too. Don't miss the test anxiety, tho.

There are germs in the world. We live with them daily. So do our chickens.

If you were to visit other chicken enthusiasts and plan to be around or handle their birds, then, yes, you should extend the courtesy of cleaning up between handling your birds and theirs. Likewise, to protect your own flock, when you get back.

I can't see showering or cleaning up just for having left the homestead.
